How is it escape from the horrible genocide carried out in the 60s of last century by the brigades of death in Indonesia? Adi Rukun, optician, middle-aged, survived, but his older brother was tortured and then murdered by the regime paramilitary Panczaszila. Adi decides to break the silence and do something totally unimaginable in a society where the murderers remain unpunished and live in the vicinity of their victims. He decides to confront them with the gruesome deeds which they have committed and the eye test suggests they look at the past from a different perspective. Glasses have a change of looking at the world. He hopes that in this way, criminals will accept in the end the responsibility for their actions. Some of them are still privileged citizens, and one even wrote a book illustrating the crimes made in the hope that it will someday historical significance. Adi believes that only a courageous confrontation with the murderers will restore the dignity of his family and allow the healing of the terrible trauma that afflicts them. Adi's parents are still living, though they are elderly. Made crime hangs over those who survived, and the silence which prevails on it, turns out to be more unbearable. Speaking with murderers, Adi radiates kindness and calm, but you can see that looking for something elusive, aims to close some stage, which can not be done without disclosing the murderers and crimes, which used to be committed. Alzheimer's disease, which affected his father Adi becomes a metaphor for the collective amnesia of Indonesians, and the killer seen through the eyes surviving brother seem even more evil than we might suppose. According to the director, the film is a poem about peace, born of terror, call for the break, as well as the image of the consequences that this brings. It's also a story about the fact that in life you can not change anything until we deal until the end of the past, even when our everyday life is built on terror and lies.
